Pretty sure the area announcer was a rip off of the pod racing announcers in Episode 1
The movie looked cute which is the entirely wrong tone for a dystopian cyberpunk world where body parts are flying every other page, body horror is every wednesday entertainment, all humans have a fundamental existential crisis and robots are beating each other up with super human strength and speed. The movie also has a weird choice of chopping up the two earliest arcs of the manga including an awkward time jump to hint at the ultimate bad guy when they deliberately chose the two introductory stories where he does not matter, yet.
Hmmm, most of the critiques regarding ripping something off, are funny to me considering these are in the manga which predates those somethings. Other than that, these are fairly fair critiques.I really really loved this movie BTW, and I would pay more to see a sequel to this movie than just about any other movie at this point. It did a good job catching my attention, now I just want to see more. Really badly.
Teenage Tom Cruise...? I dunno, I see more of a discount teenage Colin Farrell...
I died when I heard em say "skeet surfin" lmao
There was way to much romance plot for the guy to just die in the end. Why go through all that trouble? Why even have him? You could’ve easily finished the movie by not including the romance plot.
Like someone in their own element
Kruiska thought he would have an advantage in the place he knows best
Visual and auditory mimicking
Instinct that’s how
